Greetings to State University Education Deans:

On behalf of the State University Education Deans (SUED), I’d like to welcome you to our website. I hope that you find the content useful and informative.

SUED is an association of educational leaders from Ohio’s Colleges of Education. Working in collaboration with the Ohio Board of Regents, the Ohio Department of Education, and other educational entities, SUED works to inform policy and practice in education in the state and on the national front. To this end, SUED has established three Strategic Action Groups (SAGs). Each representative to SUED is a member of at least one SAG. The three SAGs include the following areas of emphasis:

1. Advocating and ensuring quality and accountability in educator preparation programs in all licensure pathways.
2. Support the development of a statewide metric system for quality assurance; accountability; and continuous improvement that will be applied fairly, uniformly, and with transparency.
3. A unified and stronger relationship with colleges of Arts and Sciences, schools and their professional associations, and other related agencies.

Working with our colleagues from across the state and the nation, SUED will work to ensure the highest quality candidates are prepared for the schools, agencies, and other professional settings of the 21st Century.
